At the Grand Boulé 2026, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated dropped their new Alpha Omega Chapter class, and the roster is stacked. We are talking about legendary icons who have shifted the culture in music, television, politics, and grassroots activism.
This whole event wasn’t just another corporate conference or standard Greek gathering. It was a massive celebration of Black excellence, community uplift, and honoring women who do the real work.
Heavy Hitters Joining the Sisterhood

First up, the Queen of Percussion herself, Sheila E.
If you know music history, you know Sheila E. is royalty. She didn’t just smash constraints on the drums; she set the world on fire alongside Prince, tore up stages with Run DMC, and rocked with legends like Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. Seeing her get recognized for her decades of musical mastery and her philanthropic work with youth arts programs gives you all the feels.
Then you have Niecy Nash-Betts.
Niecy is an absolute force. From Reno 911! and Claws to her incredible, Emmy-winning turn in Dahmer, she brings pure talent and unfiltered authenticity everywhere she goes. But beyond the screen, she stays using her platform to fight for school violence prevention and breast cancer awareness.
And, of course, my fellow 90s R&B lovers already know the vibe with Coko (Cheryl Elizabeth Gamble) from SWV.
That voice defined an entire generation. Beyond the classic hits that we still blast at every family cookout, Coko has been openly using her voice to break down the stigma around mental health in our community. That takes real courage.
